Mission

To educate software engineers who are innovative and upstanding leaders, competent in undertaking and managing software development projects for different technological platforms, based on the quality standards required by the global market and the professional activity, with a solid foundation on engineering principles, research and current computer science trends.

Vision

To be recognized as the leading program in educating software engineers through quality teaching, innovative education, and adaptation to technological innovations.

Student Outcomes

Student Outcome 1:

Demonstrates an ability to identify, formulate and solve complex problems, applying engineering, science and mathematics principles.

Student Outcome 2:

Demonstrates an ability to apply engineering design to produce solutions that meet specific needs, considering aspects of public health, security and well-being, as well as those of a global, cultural, social, environmental and economic nature.

Student Outcome 3:

Demonstrates an ability to communicate effectively with a range of audiences.

Student Outcome 4:

Demonstrates an ability to recognize ethical and professional responsibilities in engineering and makes informed judgments, considering the impact of engineering solutions on global, economic, environmental, and social contexts.

Student Outcome 5:

Demonstrates an ability to work effectively in a team whose members together provide leadership, create a collaborative and inclusive environment, set goals, plan tasks and achieve goals.

Student Outcome 6:

Demonstrates an ability to develop and carry out the appropriate experimentation, analyze and interpret data, and use an engineering judgment to draw conclusions.

PEO 1: Technical Competence

Software Engineers at Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas will show progressive evolution and maturity in the application of science and engineering principles, for the analysis, design, verification, validation, construction, application and maintenance of software systems.

PEO 2: Creativity and Independent Thinking

Software Engineers at Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas apply their skills to find analytical solutions to problems and research. They will be recognized for their problem solving ability and showing independent thought.

PEO 3: Collaboration and Communication

Software Engineers at Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas will be positioned as leaders, mediators and conciliators between members of multidisciplinary teams. They will be known for their assertiveness.
