MERCEDES GÓMEZ LAZARTE

Forest Engineer by Universidad Nacional Agraria La Molina (UNALM). Master in Education Science, currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Forests and Forest Resources Management.

Specialist in Corporate Social Responsibility by Universidad Castilla La Mancha (Spain) and Specialist in Environmental Quality and Audit Management by UNALM. Participant in the United States Government program “International Visitor Leadership Program,” where she participated in the Regional Program “Change for Sustainable Growth.”

More than 14 years’ work experience in sustainable development projects as an environmental and forest consultant for the implementation, supervision, training and audit of Management Systems under international standards; in the elaboration of environmental impact assessments, technical consulting for environmental quality for ecotourism activities in the region of Madre de Dios. In addition, she is a specialist in the formulation of projects to improve the quality of life of indigenous and rural communities in Peru.

In the last few years, she has worked as the Director of the Corporate Environmental Management program at USIL, where she was previously the Academic Coordinator of Corporate Social Responsibility and project coordinator of “Camino a la producción más limpia en PYMES,” sponsored by HED (Higher Education for Development).
