MIGUEL CRUCHAGA BELAUNDE
DEAN OF THE SCHOOL OF ARCHITECTURE
Architect from the Faculty of Architecture at the National University of Engineering in Lima (1962). Holds postgraduate studies in Human Behavior & Housing Design from the Graduate School of Design at Harvard University (1982). He served as a Senator of the Republic from 1990 to 1992. Additionally, he was the President of the Institute of the Citizen (1993-2002) and a full member and President of the Peruvian Academy of Architecture and Urbanism (2005-2007). He is the Founding Dean of the Faculty of Architecture at UPC since 1994.

He holds a Master's degree in Architecture from the University of California at Berkeley. He pursued specialization at Kumamoto University (Japan) and the United National Centre for National Development (Nagoya). His second professional specialization is in Solar Energy (UNI). He received the 1st Prize in research at the III Biennial of Architecture.
